is that teams are more up for it and try harder against Man U but against City they ease off to the extent that they are virtually a walkover, ManUtd fan on a phone in earlier PMSL
I heard that and was cringing. Big club mentality gone mad. Apparently it's the same at Hillsborough .... Small clubs always raise their game cos it's their cup final. Man u lost the title when they got stuffed at home to Man City... that's what swung the goal difference. All this stuff about injuries and teams rolling over for City is just nonsense. Man city were the best team over the season in my opinion. Still don't like what they're doing to football though.
Spot on or did Man City only do the double over them and have a 7-1 aggregate because they raised their game as it it was Man U ... thats a 12 goal swing on goal difference as Man City only had an 8 goal lead thats a huge factor - Had Man City just won 1-0 at Old trafford United would have been champions
Yeah I heard that too, laughable. From what I've seen this season if anything certain teams are still rolling over just as much for Utd as they ever do for anyone else, while naturally that silly old sod Sir Fergie keeps up his incessant agitation and bullying tactics to ensure they get the maximum possible rub of the green in every game they play. I suspect what Utd and their fans really don't like is that the only way any club outside the traditional 'big' four/five teams over the past 10/20 years could ever have hoped to break into their comfortable monopoly was for a new owner to take over a club with the money no object mentality, and that's what's happened. And worst of all it's City. I'm not for one minute suggesting that this is good for football as it's clearly disastrous, however I've no sympathy for Utd at all. They've had decades now of largely having everything their own way and suddenly that's no longer the case. Diddums.
