My phone dialled 999 twice this afternoon whilst out on a walk, got a call from SYPD asking if I need assistance, I most certainly did NOT phone 999. Anyone had this problem? I know there's an ongoing issue with Android phones & 999 calls, anyone else had the same?
Funny you should say that. Happened to my son the other day, had it in his pocket and somehow managed to dial 999. Just like you they called back to ask if he needed assistance
Funny that. Our lass once picked my phone up and answered a returned call, she threw the phone at me and said "it's Crystal, she says when you visit next week the blow jobs have gone up due to increasing costs". I said the same, must be an Android issue, I've never called her
Yeah it's the new feature on Android phones what are causing the problems mate, although I thought it was fixed? Remember reading about the initial problem, perhaps I just read when it's expected to get fixed.
I have had similar this week - mine pocket phoned them 5 times on Monday. They phoned me and the school where I was working as they had located my phone through the location services.
We had a problem with the house phone some months ago....every time I answered it and said hello, the caller either hung up or they asked for all sorts of business .. I lost count of the amount of times I said sorry youve got the wrong number In fact one night I came off the phone after another wrong number call and said to the wife...bloody hell love I can't believe it...that last caller thought I was the coast guard Sheepishly she asked Why love I replied the bloke on the other end of the phone didn't give me time to say anything ...before asking...Is the coast clear.....
Mine has done it a few times now. It's an android feature if you press the on off button 5 times it initiates an emergency call.
If 999 is getting dialed whilst your phones in trouser pocket ....I bet your a hit with the ladies lol
It happened to me about 3 years ago , I was training the kids football team I run , nothing out of the ordinary.the wife rings my mate ( I never answer my phone apparently)who helps me . There's a police man at our door as they'd had a 999 call from my phone , all the could hear was hit it harder , don't let him beat you and phrases along that line , obviously they thought I was either getting beat up or up to no good .....I had to speak the police and confirm I was fine and everything was ok ...funny now but I was took back by it all at the time lol .
As a wild guess. It's common with androids. Expecially when it's in your pocket and you lose signal because it transfers to (emergency calls only)
