Ive got a friend that lives in Monk Bretton and they've had their house broken into. One of the things that were taken along with a laptop and cash was a canon ixus digital camera. The camera is not important but on the memory card were pictures of his wifes mum that were taken a few days before she passed away due to cancer and they hadnt been downloaded to PC yet. The pictures are irreplaceable and have left them devastated about it. If anyone has found or been offered a canon ixus or memory card from a camera please drop me a message. Theres some scum bags about! Thanks.
I hope they get it all back and the scum who did this get exactly what they deserve. If I hear anything I will let you know.
Cheers pal. Camera is only worth about 30 quid but the photos priceless! Prob just swapped it for a bag of summat.
Worth checking the cash-converters etc. My mum 'lost' her phone & camera a few years back and a few weeks later I was surprised to get an accidental call from her phone. Bloke who answered said he'd bought it for a fiver from C-C in town. Her sim card had been left in the phone and the guy said he thought it funny that the memory hadn't been wiped. You never know, you may get lucky and the camera turns up there with the memory card & more importantly the photos still in it.
30 quid or 30p the scum tw@ts had no right to take stuff. You're spot on though, it will have been swapped for a bag if drugs and the priceless memories are likely to be gone. Makes me sick that these wastes of oxygen exist at the expense of decent hard working prople yet they give **** all back to the society that look after them.
