To be honest Andy is hard to argue with tomfun's exclusive photograph...he's clearly been shown around oakwell earlier.

But Mellon is in pole position after last night. And with a 51% win percentage, he's streets ahead of Appleton.

I can only think of Danny Wilson, Tony Mowbray and Gary Megson otherwise, in terms of successful managers at this level that we could attract.


I'd take any of those three, but would be happy with Mellon if last nights performance can be regularly repeated.

Mellon is a far better candidate. So why would the BFC board even consider Appleton?
