Didn't turn up for training after Blackpool knocked back Blackburn's approach to speak to him. Classy. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20973540
The Portsmouth effect. Same with Paul Hart and to a lesser extent Cotterill. Did fairly unspectacular jobs there in admittedly trying circumstances and have found work easy to come by as a result. Manage a team that is financially ballaxed, made for life. We should have that as a slogan to attract managers.
It's 'cos he is ex-Man Utd stock innit? Didn't he cut his coaching teeth at Utd after getting injured or am I making that up? Because that's what we really need in the game isn't it, more utter utter c*nts like Sir Fergie.
Having read the Blackpool forums, the ownership there leaves a lot to be desired, thats maybe why he wants out after such a short time.
He did all his coaching at West Brom. He was a youth player at Man Utd but he never played for the first team and he didn't do any coaching there. All he's ever done as a manager is get Portsmouth relegated. While we should be thankful of that, I can't understand why anyone else rates him.
