lets mek it as difficult as we can for anybody to get a ticket, let Man U have a third of the ground so they can make twice more noise than us so it's like a home match for em and leave 3,000 seats empty. Brilliant.

Agreed. I said it would be a **** up if we didn't sell out and it indeed was. 3,000 empty seats is a disgrace and with the amount of away supporters given tickets it sounded like a manchester united home game at times.

I think they make attendances up down at Oakwell. There's no way you could fit 3,000 in that bit of the West Stand.

Aye, it can sound like that when you watch on the TV due to the positioning of the mics

FFS, we have just put in a bloody good shift against one of the best clubs in the world and people whinge about not selling the tickets

Think that those who "not going cos it's £25 and breaks the charter" might have boosted the crowd up!

    Watching on TV...

there was no way there were 3,000 empty seats. Like the comment before mine, it was just the West Stand area near the North Stand that seemed to have seats available

We should have had the North stand and season ticket holders 2 tickets each.

About the game, we played em off the park but couldn't finish. 8 good chances and no goals.

    10200 season tickets x 2 = 20400

    Oakwell capacity - 23009

    23009 - 20400 = 2609 tickets for Manure fans

League cup rules wouldn't have allowed that

Where've you got 10,200 season ticket holders from? There's not that many surely! And what are the league cup rules, give half the ground away? At the very least we should've made sure that the whole of the West stand was full of Barnsley fans.

Was prob 1000 empty seats if that, for some reason the club have covered up the actual attendance figure!

    Next Big Tie We Have........

make it 50 quid for an adult ticket because i'd rather have less fans in the ground anyway if we can't control large crowds.

There were a few empty seats in the ponty end, in the ponty end side of the west stand and in east lower (not sure about upper) as well as a few hundred in the away end and and then the west stand north side

The owner of the club himself at the meeting at East Dene in August

Giving Manure 2500 or so would be trouble as their fans would get a ticket in the Barnsley ends

there is around 1000 seats in the west lower north end alone, probably more than that. then there was an entire block empty in the upper tier, quite a few empty seats in the rest of the west, seats empty around the rest of the ground etc.

What difference would it have made allowing two per season ticket holder? Anyone who wanted a ticket could get one but they chose to watch it on Sky.

Or let them have the lot, more adults and less families go away so we'd be quids in.
