Cant see em for fking flags I have seen bits of Devo REM Scissor sisters moby in between flags Nothing very original
A think it adds to the spirit of Glastonbury but 1) how do they get them in and 2) there arms must ache like **** after 12 hour of flag waving!!!
1) You can take anything you want in to Glasto that isn't glas (pretty much). Your tent is in the grounds of the stages, rather than other festivals where the camp site is a different area outside the 'arena' 2) The flag gets passed around. You get plenty of rest. And they're only light.
That could well be the most inappropriate description of a band's set I've ever read. I watched it too, it was lovely, really nice songs, really well played, a joy to watch and listen to. I was sat on my sofa, beer in hand, thinking this is just great. That doesn't happen when a group is smashing the ****** out of something. When a band is smashing the ****** out of it you're either up dancing or turning the bloody racket off. Arcade Fire should have been playing as the sun went down. Feel good music for a beautiful English summer's evening. Then you put a band on who can smash the ******** out of it. Arcade Fire can't, it's not what they do, that's not a criticism, it's just who they are.
Oh dear people trying to be trendy and hip, watching Glastonbury. Ffs, I'd rather go to work to be honest than listen to that Glastonbury racket. Hth
A wouldn't say I was a big follower of there's but on each occasion I see or hear them I think they sound really good, a bet there tour bus is like a arctic lorry with all the band members they have!!!
I don't know if I should like them or not( 50 years old plus vat)but I thought they were brilliant and could have listened to them all night.
Brilliant set. Best headlining set I've seen in a while. Some great stuff on yesterday Jurassic 5, De La Soul, Rudimental, Elbow were all good & Lily Allen showed us her pants.
