    Ive heard a rumour that they're to do a gig at the Citrus Rooms. Anyone know if it's true or not?

    They were supposed to play there before the last tour.. but they got cold feet and played Birdwell Club instead.

    Going to see Oasis in Sheffield in February? I'll be getting a pair of tickets pretty soon. Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th February, Hallam Arena.

    Friday. Not sure of the prices, etc. though.

    No idea mate. I don't think so.

    I'm guessing they'll sell out pretty quickly for both dates. They're in Glasgow Wednesday and Thursday this week.

    Thats the whole point surely. There was no hype at the start. Most of the bands who are successful at the moment have been hyped up no end by the NME which is now more akin to Smash Hits than the vital read that it was in the 70's and 80's. The Monkeys didn't get the early coverage through the NME but by cultivating a live following and through using the internet to release tracks.

    Not really a fan... but i think they deserve the success. They have their own unique sound and I like the songwriting. If I was given a choice between mardy bum or the Gallaghers latest dirge I know which one I would choose.

    Now if you want to see something really special go to Josephs Well in Leeds tomorrow night and see Mistys Big Adventure.
