Feel so disappointed after yesterday ( and all the other similar yesterdays )where you think we might just clinch it and then you plummet back down to reality. Sometimes I think it might be easier not to bother, or would that make life boring? Oh well, back to work on Tuesday in Huddersield...can't wait...and anticipating a draw at best tomorrow...
Bloody hell get things into perspective We almost won but sadly drew with one of the best teams in this league.
We are in 6th spot 4 points adrift of top.
We have just signed a young goal scorer.
We have lost just one game in 13.

RE: Bloody hell get things into perspective Blimey nowt like being cheerful is there|? I'd have gladly taken the position we're in now if it had been offered pre season. Every chance of at least the play offs and not too many points off relegation safety at only the half way stage is pretty good for me.
Hiya gorgeous Sure it's not just post Christmas depression ??ff If we can win the next two matches and get a decent draw in the 4th Round , optimism will be up . Anyway , we've all been fans for long enough to realise that Barnsley NEVER do things the easy way !!(doh)
ALWAYS were and ALWAYS will be Happy New year ive even said when i use to watch regular When they have won Im not going to watch em any more But ive been first in the ground next match
RE: Over achieving IMHO I think we are currently over-achieving and 6th place in the division and 5 points away from automatic promotion half way through the season is much more than I expected. For me the results we've got over the Christmas period should be no surprise to anyone, as the team is not the finished article yet and I would predict many similar, frustrating results in the coming months. If we do manage to get promotion this season it will be a monumental achievement by AR and his staff, however due to the lack of money available to AR I do fear that we would become the whipping boys of the Championship, similar to Sheff Wendies.
