If it is the DVDR 311 model, it is multiregion.  If not, I can't find any further info.

Just found another DVD thats Region 1 only. So hopefully its the model you have said.

www.dvd365.net - then click on "Hacks" and scroll down. "Mico" is there as a make.

Full of Hacks for DVD players, except most Sonys where you need a manufacturer's handset.
