Are Man Utd only allowed one in ten touches of the ball then? nt

You are right, being totally outplayed. How the hell did Moyes buy Fellaini. He has not created or won a ball as yet

It's what you do with them touches I suppose. I thought they played well tonight. It seems there is a lot of Pro German feeling on this site. I wonder why?

Must have watched a different game to me. If only Wellbeck had smacked the ball instead of going for a poor lob it could have been even better for United. I'm sure watching 900 passes to move five yards is good football for some. For me it doesn't matter if it's us under Hill playing it or Bayern Munich, it's still boring to watch. United didn't see much of the ball but were more positive in trying to push forward when they did. They were comfortable standing around under no pressure whilst Bayern played their tippy tappy football.

Most of the game United were solid stood around with like two rows of four in front of the keeper protecting their goal well. They weren't given the run around at any point and dealt with pressure well. It took a good finish for them to get their equaliser. Still in the tie way more than anyone would have thought. Bayern have the advantage of playing in an uncompetitive league where they can rest players.

Yet United still had more shots on target. Bayern were guilty of overplaying the ball when in dangerous areas.

Agreed. The poster who said Man Utd scored with their first shot obviously missed that Wellbeck shot. I also thought it was harsh on the disallowed one, his foot was at waist height and he was in complete control of the ball, their defender ducked into it. For all Bayerns good play they didn't create much.

The only thing I expected Man Utd to get from last nights game was a hiding! Thought they did ok to be fair. At ht when Adrian Chiles said that Bayern had 75% possession I was staggered! Didn't appear that way to me.
Can't see them even getting a draw in the 2nd leg, but they've certainly given themselves a chance.

How come the fluff in your belly-button, always appears to be a different colour to the shirt your wearing?
