I'll keep going when I can, I like upbeat feeling I get until I hear the team announced and its RIchards up front again.
THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG But then, I've been saying the same thing last season, the close season and now all way through this season Andy ritchie is continually saying we are missing chances, we need more quality up front etc etc etc So, if you can see the problem, why not solve it ????? There is something at the club that is preventing a striker or strikers coming to the club What is it ???? Is it.......... Ritchies buddy buddy tactics Ritchies inability to sell the club Sheps inability to sell the club Ritchie and Sheps inability to sell the club No money If its the latter then this is a contradiction of what Shep has been saying to us for nearly 12 months now i.e. that he has offered Ritchie money to bring players in
It's obvious that the statement that Mr Shepherd uttered upon our promotion to this league, "we may have got promotion a season too early" is proving true, but quite why he said this is baffling, I would venture (again) that all's not well at board room level, every member of the BFC board should be in a position to offer financial assistance to the club if and when needed, or what is the point of being in a director?
Directors are there to direct, not fund. Unless you're an owner in which case you probably do both. Gordon S is not the club's owner, so his job is to manage the assets he has to hand in the most competent manner. We all know that "football is more than a business" but at the end of the day maybe the board are making sure we don't end up back in admin, which by me is absolutely fine. If the team are a young bunch and if we can keep them together there is no reason that should the club go down, it can't turn its fortunes around relatively quickly.
He has offered him money by the sounds of it, but I am sorry 200K does not get you a proven Championship level striker.
It will allow you to take a punt on an uproven youngster who is 10th choice at a premier league club , or someone knocking them in in Div 2.

RE: THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG But it's one thing identifying there's a problem. An entirely different matter finding the personnel to solve it within our budget.
