The most surprising thing is that after all this time I'm still astonished by their brazen rudeness. A few weeks back a bloke in the works canteen just skipped the 10 person queue and leant across me at the front to pay. It's not even like he had the right money, we all had to wait while he got his change and receipt. I did ask him "What the f**k was that about" but he didn't seem to hear me. Tonight there's a queue in the supermarket, dividing into two at the checkout. This guy pushes his kid past me, so I move out of the way, then he follows him and jumps about a dozen people to stand in front of us. I went over and asked him "Did you really just do that? Jump in front of all these people?" and he said "I thought there were two queues, you're welcome to stand behind me if you want" to which I pointlessly replied "It's OK, I'll wait in turn like everyone else". The annoying thing is, this kind of thing bothers me but I know he didn't give a s**t. I've got to get out of here.
Less often, I think But you're right it's not uncommon. Somehow people get the impression they're more important than other people. I suppose I need to give up pointing it out to them as they know damn well what they're doing, whatever country they're in. Mmmmm, almonds . . . (sorry, wrong thread)
Glad you're about Looks like the Boxing Day plan is in tatters as my Dad is otherwise engaged. And I'm off to France for new year. So looks like I'm drawing a blank as far as games over Christmas go. On the bright side, it looks like I've managed to wangle tomorrow's game being shown in a good pub in town although whether the second half will be possible when Arsenal v Spurs kicks off remains to be seen.
Eyy... Most of my family is swedish... We are not like that... Just a few. I guess there are more british and yankees are more rude than swedes. So (givinfinger) to You.
