If they just had the gumption to admit

... that their referee cocked up, and act accordingly, all this could have been settled a week ago. The ill feeling between BFC fans and Sheff Utd; BFC fans & Radio SHeffield has been whipped up entirely by the inactivity of the FA.
EVeryone in the world knows the ref was wrong, and Morgan should be bannned. It's unbelievable they won't act.
If they don't act I fear an awful atmosphere at Brammal Lane.

They'd have done it by now. F.A. are useless.

The main reason why we haven't done anything decent in international football for the last forty plus years is the F.A. old boys club. If they were going to do something with Morgan they'd have sorted it by now. (N)

I think there must be some legal shenanigans going off in the background

    possibly FIFA involved.

RE: I think there must be some legal shenanigans going off in the background

I'd be really shocked if FIFA intervened (and I feel exactly the same way as everyone does on this). I'm not sure what the constitution of world football is - but the very most I'd expect from FIFA is a frown and a disapproving shake of the head when the matter is declared closed with no further action taken. In my mind the matter is dead already - the only question is , will the F.A. actually acknowledge the fact that no further action is going to be taken, or will they just try and letter the matter slide away and then sweep it under the carpet? Morgan has got away with this in my eyes and I believe that if this had happened against Arsenal and Theo Walcott had got his skull fractured, I believe it would have been an entirely different response from the F.A. (in every regard).

    Totally agree

We (and Ian Hume) are not significant.

    I think

if Iain Hume is of the mind and brings a civil case, the FA will look even more stupid than they currently do, if that is possible.

The directive not to change the refs decision is from FIFA

Blatter stated that use of the elbow had to be stamped out.

It IS possible that the matter has gone so far.

Of course it was only jostling wasn't it..

    No

When Morgan elbowed Hume they weren't jostling for position they were dancing the tango.
