Getting my Xmas anti-list in early:- Steve Cotterill Gary Megson Brian Laws Dean Saunders Di Canio those 5 would see me seeking other pleasures come a Saturday afternoon.
Nope But I retain the right to sit there unimpressed and impose wholly unrealistic expectations on anyone appointed who I take a dislike to, and use those expectations to berate him for 'failure'
No, I find it astonishing that someone would stop following their football team because of the manager appointed. Although i'd be extremely disappointed if we appoint any of the following: Chris Morgan Kevin Blackwell Billy Davies Titus Bramble Niklas Bendtner Adolf Hitler Kerry Katona Jason Plato Nicky Minaj Anyone from the x-factor
Re: Nope I kept the list to people who genuinely would stop me coming, not those I would know are bound to fail, but I would still turn up and watch,
Not for football reasons. I'd find it very difficult to attend if Paulo Di Canio was given the manager's job. He's a fascist. I'm not calling him names, those are his political beliefs. I don't think I could continue to follow a club run by a man who believes a particular race of people is superior to all others, an idea that is central to fascism.
So if we appointed Di Canio you would be fine with that? Clearly some people would go regardless, thay are in the minority, most normal fans do have a conditional relationship with their supprorting club, or do you think there are only 8-10k Barnsley fans in the world?
Re: Nope Can't think of any out of work Managers that would fill me with any confidence. An exception might be Ian Holloway. I would stay away with most of the usual journeymen.
I'd not be over the moon with Di Canio, but I wouldn't stop watching the football club that I have for the last 20 years because of him. Am I not a normal fan then because I don't pick and choose when I go to games?
Re: Nope Dunt want any of those on your list, plus Slade, Blackwell. I'd still go to games, just even more ****** off than usual.
Certainly you are a fan, but if you pick and choose your games does that exclude you from being classed as a fan? The majorty of Barnsley fans aren't season ticket holders who would go whatever. Do you get that?
I'm not saying that. Nor do I have a season ticket. You seem to think that I think everyone shares the same opinion as me, I don't. Each to their own, I personally wouldn't stop going to games because of who the manager is. It's been my Saturday afternoon for years and I'm gutted when I can't get to the game. As for Di Canio's beliefs, they've got nothing to do with football. I'm more bothered about if he can keep us in this division.
definitely done with season tickets if that lovely person ever steps foot inside oakwell as an employee. He still wants stoning in my opinion, horrible basterd.
I've said appointing Appleton would stop me coming. And I'm standing by that. I'd prefer di canio to get the job with Chris Morgan as his assistant, and Stephen mcphail first team coach. With mark lawrensen technical director and Neil warnock a special advisor. First signing and new captain michael brown. Other than that I'm easy. Phelan, Agnew, even Russell Slade, he knows what he's doing at least.
