Queens Park Rangers have moved to scare off suitors of Lee Cook by pricing the winger at £10 million.

Aston Villa have been linked with a bid to take the winger to The Premiership once the transfer window opens in January.

Cook has impressed at Loftus Road this season and John Gregory admits he is not surprised there is interest in the 24-year-old.

The R's boss also suggested the club could be vulnerable to any big-money bid for the former Watford attacker.

But QPR chairman Gianni Paladini is taking a firm stance on Cook and has put a hefty price tag on the wide man.

"I tell you, the asking price is £10 million if anyone wants to get Lee Cook," Paladini told the Kilburn Times.

"There are several clubs after him and we know that people have been scouting him because he's playing so well this season.

"But I want to make this clear - we persuaded Lee to sign a new contract with us because we want to keep him at the club.

"Maybe nobody will give me credit for this, but I felt it was one of the most important pieces of business we had to do in the summer."
