Are things that bad after three games?

A lot of fans will only have seen one game and want the manager sacked and want to spend a fortune on new players.

Surley we have give Davey and the team a few more games.

I thought on Saturday that we too negative with our midfield, if we are playing with wingers play them on the wing especially at home games.

Everything sounds great about young players coming through, being tough with team selection and sticking to 4-4-2 Davey has now to start showing that he is capable of putting everthing into action and getting the best out of his team.

Fully agree, judge him/the team at x-mas.

think we will be fine by then.

no team, especially with new signings, find their rythm until 5 or so games in.

 

Things are no better than the first full season he started.

Played Coventry first home match and lost, oh wait they scored 4 so maybe we are twice as good as we were?

Seriously tho`, after such a time in the job, he still cant get it right., maybe its time to call it a day .

 

Havent we being saying this for the last 18 months though ?

 

The problem we have this season is that unless Davey is consistently getting good results and good performances, there will always be an element of the crowd against him. What worries me is that he now seems to be saying and doing things with the team to try and win over popular opinion - when he should stick by his guns and do what he thinks best. Cryne's ultimatum has sadly put him in this position where he is no longer his own man when it comes to decision making.

Cryne may be happy to give him more time but for some people it's a no lose. Davey does well and they are pleased Barnsley are doing well - Davey does bad and they can smugly tell everyone 'Told you all along he was a poor Manager'.

didn't say we had them playing now. and believe that they will improve the team once they've had time to integrate and gel.

 

So do you think if Davey is doing bad it makes him a good manager then?
I think all ANY fan wants is the team to do well. No matter who the manager is.

Its not very often he gets it right with his tactics which is his only let down with me.

Hammill played Saturday & was *****, No one as seen Hallfredsson play Thompson has played 1 game Gray is too old & injury prone.

If those are the type of players who will improve the squad im affraid we must have a ***** squad

 

That is the main thing about his job on a Sat.

To get the tactics right, he makes poor managres look like Bobby Robson.

 

Its not about the manager Disco tyke its about being entertained & wanting to watch them play, Time & time again at oakwell when things arent going right Davey doesnt seem to know what to do, its soul destroying to watch, you cant blame people for questioning him, lets be right we are still talking about the same **** strikers that we were talking about 12 months ago , most fans me including would love Davey to get it right but he needs to show signs of it .

 

I only backed them to be winning at half time Ossett Red , lost me £70 as well.

 

Nailed on for a win tomorrow, I've got my bet on already!

go support man utd then, or another team in the country where no other player coming in would improve them.

I gave my opinion on the fact that once the new signings have had time to gel, I think we will play better. if you don't like it, tuff.

You need to delete the word "games" from your headline and add the word "years" in its place.
Yes things are that bad. Saturday's display was the 2nd worst performance I've seen under his management ( the worst being a 3-0 defeat against Colchester not long after he got the job). Despite going 4 4 2 he has clearly no idea how to play that system with the wingers changing wings every 5 minutes. His "tactical" changes get more and more comical with each passing match.
He still clearly cannot motivate the side hence the total lack of interest shown by most of the players on Saturday.
1st home game and already any hope of a more solid mid table season has well and truly gone, we will be in the bottom 5/6 all season if he isn't removed and my fear is that if you are always finishing bottom 5/6 you will eventually finish bottom 3.
He should have been sacked at the end of last season, he wants sacking twicw as much now.
