    <p class="big">Skysports.com understands several Championship sides are chasing South African striker Glen Salmon. </p>

    Salmon is considering his future with his contract at FC Groningen due to expire in the summer. </p>

    The 29-year-old has spent the second half of last season on loan at NAC Breda and he impressed at Rat Verlegh Stadion scoring 11 goals so far this season. </p>

    Salmon's availability on a Bosman free transfer has alerted a number of English clubs and they are ready to make a move for the striker. </p>

    The South African is now weighing up his options, but it is believed his preferred option is to make a move to England. </p>

    Salmon's wife is English and the striker is keen to try his luck playing in England. </p>
