I lose track of all the loan windows etc. Can we sign an immediate loan replacement for Toney or do we have to wait until Jan?

Embarrassing that the manager has signed THREE other strikers this season - Jackson, Smith and Wilkinson - and none of them are good enough to get in his starting XI.

You're right, they haven't proved good enough yet, but there is now perhaps an opportunity for one or both of them to step up. I'm discounting Smith here because I think he will be heading back to Swindon for Christmas, or home to the north east and sign up for Hartlepool maybe?

Jackson has the track record but perhaps won't be suited to play alongside Winnall.
Wilkinson has the physique and a decent record at international level so SHOULD be easily good enough for this level.

Perhaps if we get a good offer for SSW he will be allowed to leave and we might then get to see those two playing together - we haven't yet. If not they need their contracts cancelling immediately and shipping out.

Wasn't he signed for the development squad? I'm not expecting anything of a 21 year old we signed from Gloucester. Of course he could be the next Jamie Vardy. Or Mike Turner.

White would get in before Wilkinson and Smith if I was in charge and I've never seen him kick a ball. Like Dr z says can't be any worse

We have a perfectly suitable replacement who should be playing regularly anyway!

Easy to say this now I know but we should have signed jabo on a year deal in summer. His work rate was second to none could hold the ball up, chipped in with a few goals over the season and could partner winnall. Everything Connor Wilkinson can't do and would have saved the club loads in comparison with loaning smith n wilko

Hopefully Jackson will get a run of games now.

Done absolutely nothing wrong in the little we've seen of him.

Think he's only started once. He's an experienced goalscorer with pace, we are crying out for a player of his ilk.

Can't disagree. When does his contract run out?

5 Goals since 2013 and only 20 games played doesn't sound a good bet for me with Jackson. Not seen anything from him personally when he's come on... How about trying for someone who is scoring goals at the moment such as Liam Boyce up at Ross County.. Probably fit straight in at this level, can't see Ross County being able to hold out for cash. Get in for a loan signing with perm move agreed if successful..

I think we will see Marley up front with Sam just behind. Williams coming in on the right.

I've a feeling Johnson would love to ditch SSW, decent offer or not.

Said it before that I genuinely think Winnall would have been gone in the summer had the fans not made it so clear our feelings towards him.
