In terms of how likely we are to get a higher calibre of manager interested in the job?

    Yes argument

    1. We have a well respected Chairman in Watkins
    2. We have a better squad of players that are under-performing, definitely could and should be doing better
    3. More time to turn the situation around

    No argument

    1. Another manager has been sacked after a very short reign, and after over half of it was a major success.

    What do you think?

yes, i think we are. we have a far better corporate structure, who have proved they're prepared to back their manager. but it has to work both ways, and there's only so long they can go, before having to make tough decisions.

i get the revolving door argument against the Club, but when you think about it, there probably aren't too many sackings in recent years, which the majority of barnsley fans haven't supported at the time.

that said, i don't think we will be able to attract a 'proven' championship manager. we are where are i'm afraid, and the next man will probably be another gamble.
