Are all just really asking too much from the Reds??? Do we honestly think that we are gonna be challenging for a play off place next season or should we be realistic and say that the fact that we are still in the Championship is a success... My honest opinion is that with the way the infastructure at the club is set out there will be no major investors coming in... what are they buying for their money anyway??? The Council will never sell the land back to the club, its worth too much to potential developers... Lets be honest, we are a small club. After all we only have a fanbase of around 8k most of the time... how can we expect the powers that be at the Well to budget for any more than that??? Having said that, the last game of the season was a full house, even though it was only a tenner and a fiver for kids, at least it showed that there is more support out there!!! I agree with some of the earlier posts that the club should be doing more to lure more fans, especially families and maybe even a season ticket installment plan, free shirt etc I guess I'm playing devils advocate a little but there just seems to be a lack of enthusiasm and energy coming from the club, not the playing side so much but the marketing... This is the time that thay should be in overdrive in getting revenue in for the upcoming season... A kick up the arse for someone me thinks !!!
I think we will get a little more at home next season and play offs is way over the top. Settle for staying up again, hopefully with less of a struggle. Be nice to see us in the top half but im not going to hold out for 'owt.
