Since the season we survived (2006/07) we haven't really looked like moving up a level in this league. Personally i believe the appointment of Simon Davey as manager is the main reason we haven't really been able to progress and start asserting ourselves as a top half championship club. Clearly we haven't been good enough at appointing managers, and i genuinely thought that the appointment of Flicker would finally see us start progressing in this league as a club. Getting fed up of the constant relegation battles. Yes we are one of the smallest clubs in this division, but just look at Burnley and Blackpool since we have been in this league.
Yes, we should continually sack managers after a few bad results...Law of averages says we'll get it right eventually.
Burnley and Blackpool have had recent premier experience and if they hadn't gone up when they did they may well have been in serious financal trouble. Personally although I didn't always agree with all their tactics and recruitments I think each manager has played a part in keeping our championship status.
