Are we getting carried away

Congratulations to Andy Richie on the manager of the month award.
But are we all getting carried away with the fifth spot in a poor division. Promotion, automatic promotion? come on, the only decent performance this season was against Swindon and look where they are in the league, Oldham on a good day for the reds . But most of the matches at Oakwell have given everyone a heart attack. Four matches ago Andy and the team where condemned to the gallows. The rope was out with the majority of the fans asking for blood. How things change with a few lucky performances. Barnsley Football club have too many players with the same temperament, that is lazy and fickle with no bottle, Mcphale, Howard, Nardiello,Hayes,all good players on their day but to play them all in the same team heads for a nervy result. Barnsley are on the right track, but they need players who will give their all for the club. Unfortunatley for the reds the present team lacks the steel and fight that is good enough to give them a shout for promotion.

 

You may have a point or two there but..

..as you say its a poor division.

If Lady luck smiles and the players gain confidence then maybe the escape hatch form this nightmare is ever so slightly ajar!

I saw it last night... cheesy sixties sci-fi horror film with hilarious special effects, but it was absolutely great!

Yes you are right , but the fight was coming from the fans. The players on both teams lacked the steel.

The whole team battled very well for those three points.

Week spirited teams of seasons past would have got nothing from games like that.
