Or a player of his type? A runner who can get in behind and stretch a game. Dagnal played his part last season and had a few decent games at the start of this. Having Ze Donkey and COG up front with not much creativity behind them isn't working. If not Daggers, Danny Rose. Danny has been a massive disappointment for me, think we are worse than we would have been under Flicker.
I don't particularly think we miss Dagnall but I think we are missing someone with either speed of thought or speed of foot to add some impetus to our attacks. I think Rose could do this myself though understand the arguments for not including a young lad at this stage of the season. At the same time I saw an article by Warnock on Saturday saying sometimes it's good to give younger players games in pressure situations as they don't gave the culture or fear of failurewhich makes sense. Other than Saturday we have been tighter and harder to beat under Danny and have very marginally picked up more points but we have played just as poorly and still seem hampered by playing with fear. It would be better to have a real go playing with verve and tempo in my opinion. Then if you lose you lose but at least you've given it your best.
I completely agree. Rose deserves a chance even if it's as a sub, you need someone to stretch the back 4 & create space for others. We saw around this last time last season that if he gets the chance he can score goals at this level
We need something as we are missing a little man to be a nuisance. And Rose can't be as bad as Ze German.
