The team from last year hasn't been changed that much. When you look at all the other teams in the division they seem to be making progress in bringing players in. We still haven't replaced Vaz Te, Butters and Drinkwater.........well maybe Vaz Te with the arrival of Kelvin. But in my opinion; AT THE MOMENT we are not much different to were we were at the end of last season. So this season............are we only to stay in this division on our character and NOT by the quality of our play???
I thought we may have heard about another player coming in early this week........but its not looking like it.
Nudge......... What about Mellis as replacing Butterfield? Still unsure about Mido as clearly he is a long way off match fitness. We have also got Sir Bobby back and Lee Collins will probably feature this season. I think Keith will bring in a couple more signings, but has already stated he thinks the young guns are ready to step up to the plate.
Keef's relying on some of last season's signings towards the end of the season to come good after a pre-season.
We have to hope that Millwall, Bristol City, Charlton, Peterbrough and Palace have shocking seasons too otherwise we could be adrift by christmas.
In terms of recruiting I think we are on par with most teams in this league, none have really gone out and bought loads. I've faith in Hill. He messed up last season by not getting his squad set in pre-season and we all know what happened come January. He'll know doubt have ideas who he wants on loan, problem is these players don't normally come available until August.
