No idea We have 12 ? new signings. It will take time for themto get to know each others names.
I feel thathalf way through the seasonthe papers may read either
a) Davey wastes large amount of money on non-descript foriegnandjourney men players.A squad of quantity not quality.
or
b) Simon Davey pulls off a masterstrokeafter trawling the foreign leagues and assembling a multi national squad blended with experienced home grown players, a squad of great depth and quality.

I really hope it's the latter.
Oh BTW if we lose tomorrow it does not necessarily mean that the former is correct. Some of our fans have the patience of a Tottenham Hotspur board.

I'm with Dave on this one I have absolutely no idea how they will perform. Plymouth haven't started too well but with Holloway at the helm they should be OK, so maybe they are having similar problems.
RE: I'm with Dave on this one To be honest I think we could win or lose any game this season 3-0 or draw 0-0 or 4-4. That's what this league, AND our consistency is like.
Is Holloway still off sick Didnt he get rushed to hospital last Saturday with Kidney stones or summat?
RE: It could be a return to the days of Nigel Spackman. errr.... that is a possibility. I had the same arguement with a mate last night. He said made a profit last year and everythings alright. Well it isn't. Spunk the money this year and it could put us back more than a year.
RE: It could be a return to the days of Nigel Spackman. The thing is, we stayed up last season with a thin squad of players of largely League One standard. With the money spent, you'd expect at least SOME improvement in league position and points would you not?
RE: It could be a return to the days of Nigel Spackman. I don't know. It isn't like a farm ie buy more cows produce more milk. The amount of money spentmay have nothing to do with the results achieved
RE: It could be a return to the days of Nigel Spackman. Football doesn't work like that.
Wolves would have been European Champions years ago if spending money automatically equalled better results.
Building a successful side takes time and patience and choosing the correct blend of players - which also takes a bit of luck. My worry is that in the rush to rid the club of what has been perceived as poorer quality players we've filled the club with a dozen players most of whom are untried at this level of football. To automatically expect an improvement is naive at best.
Davey's been brave in bringing in his players. By the same token he has nowhere to turn for excuses if it goes tits up.

Keep the faith a little longer. All concerned at BFC wouldn't be that reckless and spend for the sake of it after having to cut back and work so hard to sort out BFC's future. OK we've signed lots of new players to replace those we've let go and a few more to give us a healthy squad. Not all these players are going to be good enough but hopefully most of them will be. Also not all have them have had a chance to play alongside (nearly put play with each other and then realised) each other so give it a little longer and then we should see a good run. For what it's worth I think we will win 2 -1 tomorrow.
Plymouth are a very quick, mobile side they've pace in midfield and I think if Daveys done his homework, we need Togwell in there to track the runners. Johnson is better when its a more physical game. Im probably wrong like....
