So as a team are we finally there, or do we need to improve any where else??

Mark Robins has done great things with the club, Take a Bow Son.

Kev b, I don't think any team is ever there. Football like anyother situation in life which is relient on the human factor will always be fluid and as such will need tweaking, adjusting and re-adjusting throughout it's full term. Then, it has to be altered and improved.

as a self confessed hater of the loan system...............

I'd say that we will struggle again when Shotton and Dickinson go back just before Christmas-I'm afraid Kozluk and Hassell aren't adequate replacements

    I disagree

I think Hassell is. However, we'd still be short a left back.

    RE: I disagree

Hassell is adequate cover. He isn't good enough for first choice - which is where we currently stand for Jan.

Shotton and Dickenson's performances have shown me and many others what we have had to put up with under Davey and his obsessions with non goal scoring strikers.

don't proclaim him a messiah yet

theres still a big chunk of the season left. im impressed with how he can actually see what Davey couldn't though (i.e. rubbish full backs, Odejayi's tosh, JCRs off form, etc)

Does anyone seriously think we'll be anywhere near relegation with this guy in charge?

Not a chance. I'd back him to pull two more defensive rabbits out of the hat when the Stoke lads go back.

I reckon Robins was secretly reading the message boards around the time of his appointment. Hes done more or less what weve been wanting in shipping out Oddjob and strengthening our defence. It was obvious to all except Davey and shows that you dont have to be "inside football" to have a a clue about the game.

Everything he's done has impressed me

But most managers have a honeymoon period. I'm just hoping we carry on playing the same in a few months when the new effect has worn off.

Then again, the fact he's been so quick to bring in players suggests he's got something about him and will be able to identify and solve any problems.

    That's what i'm worried about

Every manager who comes into a new job usually has a honeymoon period in picking up points. Can MR sustain the start he's had with us? I seriously hope so, if we were to finish inside around the 13th/14th mark this season i'd be extremely happy.

    Exactly

The early signs are promising, but i'll reserve judgement until December/January or so when things have settled down.
