Bit surprised at some of the disparaging comments about Plymouth on here. They travel over 700 miles to a gtim northern town on a Tuesday night for a game against Real Madrid. They are bottom of the league without a win and the reserve team out, and yet they give us a lesson in commitment, desire and drive. They are quicker in thought and deed, win their personal and collective battles and go away with a thoroughly deserved point. I haven’t yet seen the term ‘teams like Plymouth’ but i’m expecting it. I’m a bit concerned that some of the fans think we’re as good as some of the players think we are, and that we should just turn up and teams should roll over. That attitude is a sure fire way to make sure we spend many seasons in this division.
Not seen any comments of the sort about Plymouth as a team or the place they are from. All I’ve seen are critical comments about our own performance and praise for how Plymouth played.
302 miles between the grounds on Google Maps, so nowhere near 700 miles for them. Showing as a five hours journey. What we have in common with Wednesday is our pitch tonight was as damp as theirs was the other year when they got flooded. Using sprinklers before going all Crazy Gang with the dull hoof ball tactics.
We usually lose against teams at the bottom. I think given how we played it was a point gained, rather than two lost. We are missing Bradshaw & hopefully Woodrow may make an appearance come the Luton game. Every time he is asked about he seems to be 2 weeks away.... The next three games are all against strong opposition. Teams I expect us to be competing with for the playoff / promotion places. Stendel was clearly not happy post match & I expect there will be a different level of commitment on Saturday.
