Go to the cupboard where you leave your season ticket
Get your season ticket out and sit down at the kitchen table or in front of the tele
Open the season ticket and turn to the back pages
Near the back you will see a ticket for a match with number 23 on it
Now turn to the front of the season ticket and you will find a ticket there with the number 7 on it
Number 7 is a home game we have yet to play
We haven't even played the 7th match at home yet
We have game 7 to game 23 at home STILL to play
And something else to think about - when we are not playing at home we have the same number of games to play away from home

    Utter ********

watch Sunderland and see whether they are a good side or not.

now you mention it all but 2 sides were in a division above us last season. should we lose to them all??

watch the games rather than judging a team by reputation

You are patronising and sanctimonious, although I'll refrain from calling you a *****...

'Cos I'm a bit more polite than that...

However, and it's a big however, you have spent the past three months moaning, grumbling, complaining and generally griping about the state of the footie at Oakwell this season.

You have positioned yourself as some sort of visionary, claiming you foresaw all the problems that are happening now and had fore-knowledge of all the solutions to those problems...

Just out of curiousity then - why the f*ck did you buy a season ticket if you find the overall situation so objectionable and your powers of foresight are so great?

Patronising and sanctimonious, he may be...

But if you read between those bits, you will find a basis in fact. If all the ones that disagree with his opinions are allowed to be over effusive in their praise for the management, why can't he be equally critical of what he and others feel to be their shortcomings.

It's not his opinions I disagree with - not completely, anyway...

It's the way they are delivered, this one been a perfect case in point...

I expected a long, hard season and was well aware there'd be times like this when we can't see where the points are gonna come from...

But I think this constant harping on about lack of signings and AR's unwillingness to change things gets a bit boring.

Yes, we need a few more players, yes AR has made some mistakes but it doesn't look like the players are coming and AR will continue to make mistakes - we don't need the handful of self-appointed Oracles on this board pointing it out like it's some fantastic new philosophy at the end of every game.

Or should I say the end of every game we lose...

I like this board for the number of opportunities for debate and discussion makes it what it is but I do wonder why some people bother 'cos they seem to revel in the negativity...

Get behind the lads, win, lose or draw I've seen the best football at the 'Well this season than I've seen in years - they are some positives if people are prepared to look...

    Ketilbert.............tha's got the wrong bloke

I have never said owt derogatory about the quality of football at the WELL this season
I have never said owt derogatory about AR changing things on the field

    What I have said is basically this;
Certain players at the club are not up to championship level and we need to bring more players in if we are to remain in this league
Me and a few more on here have been pointed out as being negative because we hold those veiws

RE: Ketilbert.............tha's got the wrong bloke

I don't think that you understand.

The point that Ketilbert is making (that I, and I dare say, countless others would agree with) is not that you are making unreasonable points. The issue is the way in which you make your points - you have a tendency to irritate because you do seem to love being right about the short comings of the team.

It is very easy to couch yourself in caution and negativity, but when you add to that a patronising and sanctimonious tone, well you are going to get people's backs up and you're going to draw criticism and abuse.

Again - not what you are saying - how you are saying it.

Please accept my apologies for calling you a ***** earlier, it was a bit much.

    BRF...................I'd better repeat this

I was pointing this out to one or two on here that before the season had started they said I was being negative because I thought the present squad wasn't up to it
The same guys are now saying the present squad isn't up to it
These guy are hypocrites - and my recent posts were directed at them

If you read my posts from August I said on a few occasions that I hoped i was wrong
I still hope that I am wrong
We are only at the start of the season, there's along way to go
The frustrating thing is that with a few more players we could be near the top of this league

I guess thats aimed at me again.

Your pre-season question asked if you thought the squad was strong enough yes/no.

I happened to think it was at the time, as I hadnt seen the team play.

3 months later the squad does need changes , I am basing this on having seen the team play.

What is hypocritical about basing your opinion on what you have seen over the 1st 3 months?

Have you ever changed your opinion on any subject during the course of your life?

No. If you change your mind, you're a hypocrit. You're not entitled to do that.

Again. It's not what has or hasn't been said. It's about how you come across. The '...I'd better repeat this' thread title is exactly what I'm on about.

You can show your dissapointment and apprehension in a way which doesn't get people's backs up. It's up to you at the end of the day.
