Are you happy having a local Derby as an opening game?

    I know I'm not.
My heart sank when I saw the fixture.
It's one to be savoured and looked forward to later in the season when we are all established and have plenty of games under our belts.
There's enough excitement just with the football season starting and with the opening game, without all the extra pressure inflicted by it being a game against the Fowls.
I wish we were playing Watford or Bristol City or Swansea - anyone but the local teams and especially the Fowls.
My stomach is churning now and I am already having to endure the 'Big Club' 'Unimportant game for us' 'Only one team matters' crap.
I so desperately want us to win tomorrow but I'd take a draw now.

If a local derby doesn't get them focused then nothing will.

Would rather have it as an opener than say 2 or 3 weeks into the season. Could have done with an extra week to get the remaining players in, but apart from that 'Bring em on'

Like you Tina I would prefer a much lower profile game to start with, not because of not being established/played more games. it's because I eargerly await the start of the season choose who we play. The Derby games can be something to look forward to to brighten up the dark miserable winter days/nights especially if we win them.

    Exactly.
I think tomorrow's opener could go either way, a mistake here or there, a lack of concentration, an eye off the ball and Bang! - all over.

That Bang! you'll hear on Saturday

Will be Hume coming off the bench to bag the winner with 5 minutes to go!

    Hi Ben - Hope so.
He's going to feature at some point according to Davey in his interview yesterday.

    Either that

Or Kayode smashing the bar from 2 yards out with the keeper beaten . . . . . . .
