If No give reasons. Id love this to be shown to Gordon Shepherd whether good or bad because i feel the general concensus is its crap - hence the poll to find out. Il start with a NO because im fed up of reading what someones dads brother that used to play for us is doing now OR someone that played one game from us was a former barnsley STAR. I want to hear about our players not someone elses. Too many CRAP adverts. Not enough interviews with our squad. The same advertising articles hogging the main page constantly. Poor proof reading.
registration doesnt bother me too much i register for tons of sites all over the net so not really a problem. What is the problem exactly? You only have to do it once and give an email addy - which can be an account you dont even use if you really have to.
No No No Poor content. Concentrate on what ex-players are doing rather than our own. Days when there is no imput whatever. Unprofessional. etc.etc.
I don't like having to register, so I don't bother with it. If it was good, informative, or interesting then I probably would, but from what I hear I am missing nothing important, and anything that IS important usually finds it's way on here anyway.
I used to like the one we had circa 1999, which also generated the BBS, but not bothered any more.

Its so bad its laughable no current stories
few if any player/manager/coach interviews
too many stories with little or no relevance to curent club
on line ticket sales non existant
too many mistakes.
need I contine.
The clubs pr in general is appalling. Other clubs in SY seem to get some story into the local media on an almost daily basis even if it is just a palyer expressing his view on a past or coming match.
Yours
bored in a county armagh site office waiting for my flight time to come around

No.. the star website gets updated before the official site why do i care what a player who was on trial 4 years ago is doing? The media page that claims to be updated very rarely is. the headline today is about media accreditation?!?!?!
and in addition its so behind that I have likely read the "news" elsewhere before its on the site.
And quite often there's nowt on at all.
Shabby
Shabby
Shabby

The news section takes up only a third of the screen, ok at the top when you have the menu to the left but as you scroll down it's just very sparse. Too many articles about ex-loanees/players we once tried to sign. If I want general news on the division I'll look elsewhere such as the BBC Sport website. I look on the official site for news about Barnsley F.C., nothing else. For example - today "McGhee axed as Brighton boss", what specific relevence is that to Barnsley F.C.? I found out about it from the BBC. The idea should be that if I see something about Barnsley F.C. elsewhere I can't get more info, and an official line, from the club.
YES (with current resources as I understand them to be) I agree that he we could do without hearing what ex loanees are up to. But he does a reasonable job to say he's on is own.
If RK had some help I'm sure there'd be more time for features, interviews and so on. For all we know he could have upteen other things to do in addition to what goes on the site.
He's got the programme to write for a start.

who is this if person? ff Oh yes! Time Go get pedantic about mr pedantic! hehehe That made today worth getting up for! Oh that plus the mansion pittsburgh v miami offer! Edited by EastStander 2006-09-08 2:52 PM
but, if he wasnt wasting so much time posting crap news stories then people would be happier (We could find barnsley news easier) and he would have less work to do.
I know mate I just don't think its as cut and dried as to say whether the content is fine or otherwise.
If it was, I say that its way substandard for my liking. But all things considered, there might not be much more he could do in his working day.
I like the fact that he listens to some of Super Tyke's criticism, at least he shows he's not too proud to accept it and make some changes.
