Too long have you remained in the darkness.

    It is time.

Time for your ginger locks to flow through the Oakwell wind.

Time to restore faith to the once proud supporters of this fine, fine club.

Time to drag us from the deepest doldrums.

    Time to join the immortals.

    Sir Robert of Hassell.

"Legend spoke of a little copper haired warrior. A tenacious little fellow. Who brought the glory days back to Oakwell, and its supporters. A statue made of bronze was erected outside the Ponty End entitled: "Copperhead: Sir Robert Of Hassell".

    O Robert of Hassell
When will we see your like again
    That scraped and tackled for
Your wee bit club and men
    And stood against him
    Proud Keith Hills army
    And sent him homeward
    Tae think again

    The stands are bare now
And winter leaves lie thick and still
O'er points that are lost now
    Which those so dearly held
    And stood against him
    Proud Keith Hills army
    And sent him homeward
    Tae think again

    Those days are passed now
And in the past they must remain
But we can still rise now
    And be the club again
    That stood against him
    Proud Keith Hills army
    And sent him homeward
    Tae think again

    There's only one, Robert Hassell!
