What's everyone think about it? Good film or ruined by a soppy love story added to it? Very good film in my opinion although other's i have spoke to think it's been ruined.
The love story didn't ruin it for me because take that away and in my eyes it would still have been appalling. Ben Affleck and product placement. At one point I thought I was watching a BMW advert. Shameless. It's films like this that give the Hollywood blockbuster a bad name, when in actual fact there's nowt wrong with a bit of action.
I saw it recently for the very first time....... and I personally liked it... BUT there was a similar film released at almost the same time with a lower budget. Deep Impact it was called, yet it was a far better film, much better acting and amazing effects. Better storyline too IMO.
