Arrrrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh - for f'ks sake!! (non-footie)

Anyone here have any knowledge of lighting?

I have a small porch area outside the front of my house, it's all open, just a bit of a overhang above the front door where there is an overhead light. This light fits flush to the 'ceiling' so to speak and I want to replace it with another. It's quite a small light and I can't fit a day/night sensor bulb into it so I want a slightly bigger one.

To me I'd just call it an overhead light or a porch like but can I ballaks find anything like it on the net. All the external lights seem to be the 'lantern' type that you fit to the side of your house which I don't want, I just want to do a straight swap for the one that is there, something that will fit flush overhead.

I must have been looking for over a bloody hour now and the nearest thing I can find are 'bulkhead' lights, which looks like the sort of thing you'd get in a crackden (apologies if you have one of these!).

Does anyone know the specific name that is given to these lights?

The really annoying thing is that I had a casual look on the net about 6 months ago and I found them without even trying that hard - it's so bloody infuriating!

 

Post a photo, a picture tells a 1000 words! Might be easier to identify it then!

I'm after somert like this that I can fit a stadard bulb as opposed to a flood light and that isn't quite so ugly!
