Knowing they took that place in the top flight on a vote when we were the ones that should have been promoted, then they talk about their history and success. What would they had been had the rightful promoted team took their place in the top flight? Who knows? John Motsons cranking one off over em though.
Well said me old mate. An increased awareness of 1919 should be part of our 125 When they made their first visit to Oakwell after the 1919 scandal for the League Cup tie in 1995 I wanted the club to show some sort of token protest to (Woolwich) Arsenal. Nothing too outrageous but something to say to our friends that we have not forgotten how they stole our rightful place in the top flight. I imagined something similar to when "Black Rod" tries to enter the House of Commons. They see him coming and slam the door shut in his face. He then has to knock on the door to gain admitance. I would have loved to see the look on Wengers face as they get off the coach and walk to the enterance only to see the commisionaire disappearing and the sight of the door being slammed shut. Once they had "asked" for admittance we would show them the respect a truely great institution deserves but not until.
Re: Well said me old mate. An increased awareness of 1919 should be part of our 125 Spurs are agrieved about that as well, it could have gone the way to relegate less teams and Spurs would have benefitted from that, that seemed to be the more likely alternative to Arsenal getting promoted.
