I dont agree, if we go down whatever happened in cup is nowt to do with league form, the league is what we go for week in week out, relegation means total failure by the management and exit for the manager is the only option. Davey had no experience before we gave him the job and tactically not up to it. Reckons are strikers are good enough, what games is the man watching every week, back to League One would ruin us.
I would give Davey one last chance In fact as someone else poster the start of next season is very important for Davey next season whichever division we are in. If we go down we need to be in contention for automatic promotion by Mid November, if not Davey should go If we stay up we need a similar start to this season - Mid November we should be mid table (ish) at worst. I just hope we can find a couple of wins and be looking at the second scenario
I dont know about that I am sure my Dad and I will renew and all the people that sit around us will renew as well - probably wont get too many new ST holders though
Re: Squad to get us back up In League One, Campbell-Ryce & Leon would get kicked so far up in the air it'd take him the rest of the match to come back down. We'd need a more physical side to get promoted. Foster, Souza, Macken, Ferenczi, should do well.
If Howard and Muller go as some suggest the 5,000,000 approx fees plus the couple of millon made in the cup ( prize money , gate and tele monies and merchandising ) plus the clubs higher profile should mean we can attract players to take us forward from wherever we start next season (hopefully Championship ) We should be able to bring in 5 or 6 £500,000 players intead of frees and £1-200,000 players ,also if the two go to teams like The Gunners and Everton try for young players on season loans Anichibe and Bentner and the left back who made his debut today Traore would be nice.
