to get down to Oakwell for the remaining home games and back the manager and the team from now on until the end of the season. We are in this together.
The players and mgmt are certainly doing their bit. I am sure you will enjoy it too, we try and win games now.
First post on here but I wanted to share with you the Flicker effect. I was a regular for 30 years but moved to Scotland 5 years ago and despite following the Reds from afar my attendance at games ceased. Watching from a distance I thought Hill had lost both the plot and the fans. When the likes of SoD and TB turned us down it got all the old emotion going. We were in a dog fight and it was all about pulling together. Flickers got a team spirit going and his shrewd signings look like just what we need. We've just walked out of Bloomfield Road and the performance, the fans and the result were fantastic. It may be a 250 mile journey home but who cares? We're Barnsley aren't we?
What a great first post from Archerfield. Like you, sir, I live a 300 mile round trip from Oakwell and don't get to see too many games (also I am self employed and work Saturdays!). BUT I did get to Peterborough and Ipswich, and congratulated Flicker to his face on each occasion (my boys were mascots, so went into dressing rooms). What a top bloke he is!! Well done to Archerfield and all the Reds fans who go to watch any game home and away. Not all of us will be able to get to all games for financial, time, or other genuine reasons, but we are all Barnsley fans at heart, and want was is best for the team. Come on you Reds. We will not go down to L1.
