Say we don't make the play offs......... I think we will make the play offs Say we get knocked out in the semis of the play offs.........which I think we will do In the close season the directors invest a bit of money in the side......which I think they will do We have new players put together and they need time to gell We start next season in this division....we have some poor performances By Christmas we are in the bottom half of the table Although Ritchie has done well this season this is soon forgoten during the following season The next 6 months for Ritchie as a football manager is critical Even if we don't get promotion this time. I think if Ritchie does well at the start of next season he will be in charge of Barnsley or in football management at another club for a long time
How long's Allen been at Brentford ? Or Parkinson at Colchester ?
3 years needed at least imho.

surely................ it's the same for any manager at this level-the expectations far outweigh the realities-a few poor results and the whingers (who are in a small minority) start phoning Radio Sheffield saying Sturrock/Warnock/Penney/Ritchie et al must go
far better would be some stability-Ritchie has shown that without any great expenditure he can mould a successful(ish) team and deserves another couple of years here to finish the job-the board should back him for next season come what may (May??)

its about time we stuck with a manager for longer than a season - we need stability and i would give Ritchie at least another season regardless of what happens this season. He's done a great job so far this season, and i dont think many people expected us to be in the playoffs at the start of the season. he is the best manager we've had for a long time and i think the board know this and will back him with some funds in the summer to prove this.
what a miserable post! so long as we dont have a disaster next year , ie bottom half by march then i think ritch-tea will stay in charge.
Wilson's second season..... .......was looking promising until that bizarre 3-3 draw against Ipswich in March, after which we fell away badly. What would have happened had we got shut of him after that? I fully agree with most on here that even if we fail to go up this season and then finish lower than that next season, he should still be given the full three years to try and finish the job.
As daft as it seems.............how long we got until there is a nuclear holocaust??? Say we don't get Iran to stop producing weapons grade uranium......... I think we will make them stop
Say Korea get knocked out in the semis of the UN disarmament negotiations......... which I think they will do
Behind the closed doors of parliament the leaders of the G8 invest a bit of money in the weapons of mass destruction......which I think they will do. We have new players who seem determined to bomb the f*ck out of us
We start autumn with a ricin attack....we have some poor political performances by Christmas we are burying a few hundred victims
Although Blair has done well up to now this is soon forgotten during the following bloodbath. The next 6 months for Blair as a Prime Minister are critical. Even if we don't get blown to **** or poisoned this time. I think if Blair does well at the start of next term he will be in charge of the UK or in some Corporate Directorship for a long time.
We're all doomed. Doomed.
