    . . . Smith off for Perkins. Really? I liked the look of young Mr Smith. He at least seemed prepared to get stuck in a bit and harry the odd player.

    To be honest, it looked like he was playing for the cameras, and trying to impress to get a move.

    He played well in his first game against Derby, but since then has shown very little.

    Perkins is one of the better players.

    You mean you can't make a snap judgement on the basis of 1 match? Who knew?

    I wasn't particularly meaning to have a go at Perkins and the fitness thing is a fair point of course. But I did think that for whatever reason Smith was one of our better players on the day (damning with faint praise indeed) and I was disappointed to see him go off.
