I was baffled that he got MotM on Saturday. As a holding midfield player I have no doubts about his qualities. But IMO we had Wallwork in the side on Saturday to do that job. We dont need 2 players like that in the side at home. He got into a lot of attacking positions, but he doesn't have the killer touch. Now Howard I think was dropped due to his drinking antics, but he is a player who has been performing really well this season. He excells in the role that Togwell was given on Saturday - yet somehow never got a game.

Hayes was also garbage, and the best front pairing for me was Knight and Richards.

    My team for Tuesday has to be;

    GK Colgan

    LB Heckingbottom

    RB Austin

    CB Hassell

    CB Kay

    DM Wallwork

    MC Howard

    LW McCann

    RW Devaney

    CF Knight

    CF Richards

    Subs

    Nardiello

    K. Reid

    P. Reid

    Togwell

    ????????

    Why on earth

would you drop Paul Reid after we kept a clean sheet on Saturday? He had a much much better game.

Hassell will also be out injured.

    I agree

Kyel Reid did make big difference.

    But

When Richards came on the pitch we were finally able to hold the ball up. Richards was also involved in the goal as it was his ariel pressure on the defender which led to his poor header.

Knight and Nardiello are far too similar.

    RE: Why on earth

Good point I suppose with keeping a clean sheet, but I just dont think Reid is up to Championship standard. Ipswich were crap and didnt test us anyway. But they had Alan Lee up front dont forget. Eastwood is a different type of player. Forgot about Hassell being injured though.

Nads and Knight cant play together IMO. Things happened up front more when Richards and Kyel Reid came on.

it had nothing to do with ipswich having lee playing...

the fact is we stopped ipswich creating any chances which is credit to the midfield and defence

Don't drop Reid after clean sheet, did nothing wrong saturday. One thing you've got right is wallwork with howard i wondered why he played 2 holding midfielders on sat but i've been told howard had a knock.

Two holding midfield players isn't uncommon in this league.

Generally, teams switch to a more attacking formation later in the game if needed.

Looked better when Reid came on...

    give him a start tomorrow.
    Togwell better than Wallwork.
Wallwork suspended .... Howard in then.
Richards or Hayes up front with Knight...needs someone to play him in. Richards holds it up ... Hayes picks out good passes....
