I'm going to the first day (Friday 7th of August) to Headingley and sitting in the Western Terrace. Went last year against South Africa which was 28 quid. For Australia it's almost doubled to 50 quid which I still think is alright for the cheapest tickets. Saw Dickie Bird hanging around before the start of play. No doubt he will be there again. Prefer going to the opening day and going on day 2 you risk missing an home game in your season ticket book.

I'm supposed to be getting tickets to one of the days from a contact at work although he has gone quiet recently. Really looking forward to it (england)

Did Dickie queue up for his ticket?

LOL. Saw him looking at a hut selling books next to the Western Terrace where the cars are parked on the Rugby League pitch. He was dressed up all suited and booted. When I walked off I didn't see him again all day so he was probably in the corporate area.

I can see your point. My cousin became a Yorkshire CCC member at a cost of something like 100 quid for 12 months so he could guarantee four tickets for every day.

I bought tickets for Day 5

Now I KNOW that the chances of there being any play on that day are slim because the Aussies will have wrapped it up by then, but they were £20 so not really too bothered - plus I'm simply going to bet on there being no play on Day 5 so either I win my money back or I see some cricket.

    Sorted.
