Last week the independent FA inquiry accuses him of lying in Court and to their inquiry. He tweets an expletive insult regarding the FA And low and behold, this week is he going to represent the FA of England national side vs San Mario, and most probably get his 100th cap verse Poland next week. What message are the FA sending out?
Probably to do with 'footballing reasons' that seems to be the uniform answer to everything these days.
If he committed perjury in a Court of Law it is for the judicial system to find him guilty, not the FA. They think they are more powerful than the Courts, but don't deal with the likes of Morgan, the numerous divers in the game and incompetent referees.
Neither has Terry or Lampard but they still kept getting picked.... In fact Lampoard has never performed for England yet kept geting picked.
Ashley Cole best left back? .....yes Rio F. best centre half? ...... laughable statement Stevie G better than fat frank?................ the clearest decision of the lot...of course he is. hth
whats medals got to do with it Mr G Reekman? fat frank was in a better team but Gerrard was one of the best, something you cannot say about FF hth
Now for me, I believe the 'footballing reasons' answer for Rio Ferdinand, imo he's years past his best, and just nowhere near good enough anymore and reckon he should just take it like a man and stop whinging about it.
Why do the FA..have to hold a politically correct witch hunt....after it had been delt with in a British court of law...should be the question being asked..
Because a british court of law has to be much more certain before it can convict someone than the FA has to. The court didn't conclude that terry had not done what he was accused of, it just concluded that it couldn't prove it to the level required in court. The FA doesn't have to meet that level and so could easily prove he said it, mainly because it was filmed on camera and also because in interviews with the FA (not a court), Ashley Cole's statements didn't match up and kept changing.
I'd rather give Leighton Baines the opportunity while Cashley Cole sits at home and thinks about what an absolute lovely person he's acted, again.
I agree with you too. Time to move on from this almighty group of chumps that has represented England for the past decade (note the use of "represented" rather than "played for"). Time to say goodbye to Terry, Cole, Ferdinand, Lampard and Gerrard, IMO.
