    Im hearing very positive things.

This isn't me saying he's signing.

But from what I've heard we've got a MUCH better chance than it may seem when you consider wages, competition ect.

Whilst I thought he was good player in his previous loan spell, I don't get the huge hype surrounding the potential signing. I'm not doubting he'd be a good signing, and I'd welcome him back, but is he really a 'big name signing'?

Massive signing in my opinion. I'd take him over ANY striker that we have a realistic chance of signing.

    He has everything.

For us it's a MASSIVE signing. We're punching above our weight just trying to get him, never mind actually getting him.

He's now got premier league experience, scored in 2 cup finals. For me he's a lot like lukaku, he's a big lad who's decent in the air but he's pacey and will run at defenders. Perfect fit for Tom Bradshaw.

Premier League class. Brilliant signing if it comes off.

As I said a week or too back. Not neyond the bounds of possibility to get a half season loan.
He is a premier league class player, but West Ham are very ambitious. Would be a good loan all ways round up to chrimbo, if a deal could be done.

I completely agree with that. Personally have a lot of time for Bradshaw, but his strengths would benefit from a different type of strike partner, and I think we'd see him flourish. He never hid when he played last season, even though it was a role, at this level anyway, that he struggled with. I think he's a good finisher but needs support and supply. Fletcher would be a great acquisition both as an individual and for the greater good of the team. Hope your hunch is correct @redarmychris

Interview today on West Ham TV saying he's hoping to get more games in the first team and scoring his first Premiership goal ......probably signing in the morning then !!

To be honest I know sod all about Mcburnie or Marquis etc. I've not seen them play so I can't comment. I have seen Ashley play and, after a slowish start with us, he was blossoming fast by the end of the season. He's young and, hopefully, will have continued to progress in which case must now be some player. I'd love him back here and from watching Hecky's answers on the subject I wouldn't rule out our genuine interest in him. I still reckon it's a very long shot though.

In with you on this one.

I do think it'll be a good signing, but he looked very raw when he was with us and I feel a lot of the hype is due to his high profile goals.

He does have the attributes to be a top striker though, it's whether we can unlock them in a more competitive league like the Championship.

Its a strange one really.Scored 10 goals in 47 appearances, mostly at league 1 level. Had he not been here before its not a signing many would be getting excited about.

Still hope we sign him though

He's quality, he'd be an amazing signing for us. I'm not going to believe it until he's signed up though.

If we'd had him last season wed have gone up. Simple as. Im sure of it. And then wed have kept the side together. But cest la vie. He has everything and gets better every game. Be massively gutted if we do get him tho with me not been able to get a season ticket this year! But it would be quality. Hope it comes off.
