Just been watching some of last season's games, and it's incredible the number of loose balls and 50/50's Fletcher won in the final 3rd, from which he then went on to create a chance. Walsall home in the playoffs is a particularly good example. I really think that if it comes down to a choice between being able to afford either Fletcher or Isgrove, we should be leaning towards Fletcher. Having said that if he leaves Man U for West Ham, I doubt they'd be sending him back to us. You never know though.
He really grew as the season wore on. lets not forget when he first came looked exactly as you'd expect, a kid making his way. He was hardly first choice and looked a little out of his depth. what a joy however to see how he ended the season, really making a difference to how the team played and being a vital part of the attack. He's got a great future ahead of him, id love to see it begin in earnest with us.
Yet there are people on the BFC Facebook page wondering what all the fuss is about, because apparently he was average and overrated.
The level of "discussion" on the BFC Facebook page is several levels below that at my daughter's play school. My daughter also has a considerably better command of English, despite the fact that she is a) five years old and b) has never lived in England.
In his first 2 months he looked purely a goal scorer, in his last couple he looked a complete striker, hold up play, aerial battles, working the channels. He adapted his game to make him & Winnall work. Looked quality
He's absolutely class and will just get better. It's no great surprise that Man United want to give him another contact to see if they have another Rashford on their hands.
