... have you experienced problems with the Hi-Def Freeview signal from Emley Moor at certain times of the day - mostly mornings but also other times?

My Humax box freezes, pixelates, and on one or two occasions re-boots. Most evenings/ late afternoon it has been fine. Worryingly, a couple of times BBC2 and BBC3 on standard def has frozen a bit. I know the HD signal is lower power than SD digital and the old now defunct analogue but being in the town centre we have a strong signal.

We have never had a problem before the Olympics even with the old aerial. In any case, the signal/quality display on screen info shows both to be good on the HD channels when the picture/sound is stable so I dont think it is the aerial. I have rebooted the Humax box and the firmware is up to date so I am a bit stumped. I regularly get 'recording failed due to lack of signal' messages when accessing a recorded programme in spite of the fact the recording exists and plays perfectly.

It only happens as I say for periods during the day then the problem seems to clear up so I wonder if Emley reduce the tranmitter power at certain times for maintenance although I would think that is unlikely.
