With 20+ years of continual PL money, 40k crowds on a good day. Why oh why have they ended up in such a predicament? 1 win in 20. Scored abart 3 goals and 11 points and a big GD off safety! That's mismanagement of the highest order! Anyone got any insight?
That idiot Villa fan on Twitter last night saying they're as bad a Premier League club as we were. They won't even get a sniff of the 35 points we got. I support the worst club @AVFCOfficial in the history of the PL. Teams like Swindon and Barnsley I include in this... #avfc*
Yes we did; we beat them at Villa Park in a Tuesday night game. And they're on course to beat the lowest ever points tally which I think was achieved by Sunderland. Like you say there is no excuse other than incompetence and abject mismanagement for their woes. They've been a poor side for a while now so relegation is finally catching them up.
Like you say poor management of the club. There transfer policy has been poor, signing players from lower leagues or youngsters, clearly hoping to develop players and then sell them for a profit. Not a recipe for success. Then you've an owner who has publicly stated that he wants to sell the club but he's been unable to find a buyer. Difficult situation when the guy funding the club wants out. Good job we support Barnsley and not Villa though! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They will need them lower league players next season. It's been coming for sometime has villas decline. If he can't find a buyer for the Midlands biggest Club who attract 40k at attendance what hope does pat have finding a buyer for us. One whose intentions are good aswell
Villa owner put a statement out saying they've sold more shirts than at any time in their history, and that the cost cutting has put them on a solid financial footing. I'm sure their long suffering fans will be more than happy with that. Dear me.
They were spending fortunes under O'Neil & the owner Lerner was loving the top 6 finishes but then he seemed to fall out of love with it. Instead of signing experienced, good premiership players like Milner they went down the route of signing kids to develop & sell for a profit as the owner now just wanted to make money from it. Unfortunately barely any of the signings have proven to be premiership quality & theyve gradually got worse. The few experienced pro's at the club, Agbonlahor, N'Zogbia & Richards have been massive let downs.
Aston Villa have today been twinned with the Austrian club Rapid Decline Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
My two grandsons live in Birmingham and them and their mates are Villa fans. The problem istheboss Lerner. He is trying to sell the club and lost interest in it so no support from him. Lacking investment for new players. The lads have stopped going, they say they are going down
How much financial support should a club need on top of the vast fortunes they get from Sky and commercial deals. Dear me, football really is in a right old state with money ruling absolutely everything.
