As Keith Hill finally had the revelation that Scott Wiseman is not a centre half and moved him out to the right. Let's hope the revelation is permanent. Not that McNulty is any better. If you start a game with Wiseman and McNulty as your centre halves you deserve all you get. Until the substitutions today we did next to nothing. By the end of the game we could have quite easily drawn level, although to be fair Cardiff really should have had a couple more goals. I would imagine there'll be much gnashing of teeth about the penalty claims. They looked decent shouts to me. Poor for the first hour, much better for the last 30 minutes.
do you think we will stay in this division ? thanks for the thumbnail on the match. The stats seem to show an improvement, but thats just stats.
I rate Hill, but if he picks Wiseman again, he should be sacked simple as that. Not a personal crusade, nothing personal at all, Scott Wiseman is not good enough for this level of football, its been obvious since his first appearance and this ******** in the Chronicle about 'not protecting the players anymore' is empty rhetoric if he keeps picking Wiseman, making him captain of the team is just banal, like much of what Hill says to the media. Drop Wiseman, Keith, or its goodbye.
Re: do you think we will stay in this division ? Like I said on the other thread, we were were not very good, but not terrible, until last half hour, then it looked like we wanted to play football. Amazing how we scored once we got a cross into the box, something we have not done often enough this season. Plus we had more than one player in there as well.
Answering several comments, no I don't think we will stay in this division. The subs made a positive impact and the loanees improved us. But we look very easy to score against from set pieces. I don't think changing the manager would have any impact on keeping us up. We badly need a quality centre half who can organise the defence. I'm bothered that there are not 3 teams worse than us.
