....and I was deflated before I even left the house. Mellis AND Woods in central midfield against the second best side in the league. Why, Danny, why?????
Don't tell me there weren't alternatives. I know Frimpong has been awful but he offers more of a presence than either of those two ponces. Even Hassell would have been a better bet.
It's going to be painful month but at least it'll soon be over..........

I think a lot people thought the same and as a result the support was flat right from the start. None of saturdays plucky spirit, just downright misery from the very first punt in O'Grady's general direction.

Every man in the ground thought the same except one who just happened to be the one picking the team.

    Awful wasn't it?

You knew it would be agony. And that was what was served up.

We have stumbled by default upon a solid central pairing at the back. Kennedy continues to try his limited best at left back. Etuhu is a talented footballer and therefore can replace any other creature who played at right back before him, and look good.

Midfield is a shambles. Has been for months, despite numbers. Perkins now looks a world beater. Who creates anything?

Answer - nobody anyway cos it goes straight over their heads to O'Grady who sadly is not a performing seal and thus cannot hold a ball for ever on the end of his extremities until support arrives (and even if he does keep hold he prefers a tug of war with his marker instead of a game of footie).

Wilson at best sets out damage limitation teams. Even Paddy's balls have been chopped off. No fun football. Does he have our creative players flowing? Full of confidence? Are those we know can play thriving? McCourt, Mellis, Cywka, Jennings......

Probably no point in sacking him when we're down. But there will be no miracles next season.
