    I wonder which position our Government will take ?

    If it was a Briton facing execution, they would certainly object, but what will their opinion be in this case ?

    It won't matter

    A Thai national getting his just desserts in Thailand will be no concern of theirs. And it shouldn't be.

    I don't think our Government will let it pass without comment, when the Thai PM wants to execute them in our name !

    The Thai PM says ... "By giving them the maximum sentence, it will give remedy to the relatives and the British Government and show that we are taking this case seriously."

    It would be hypocritical to allow another country to execute someone when we aren't prepared to do the same on our own country.

    What about when a briton is facing execution in America, the FO pulls out all the stops to prevent that happening !
