At what point is Johnson's position under threat, realistically?

It seems clear that the majority on here think he should be given more time, and I'm definitely in that camp as I've stated before.

However, there is a range of opinion on here from "sack him now" to "he should stay in charge even if we're relegated". Assuming you're not one of the "sack him now" lot, what would be your tipping point into get rid territory?

For me, if we're bottom 4 at the start of March without looking much like turning things round, I'd be getting twitchy.

Just before season ticket renewal time is my cynical view.

Lets not forget we have one of the best budgets in the league

We shouldn't be 1 point away from the bottom 4 after 12 games

Leave it while March and get ready when the season ticket sales start next year

You mean that's when you think he should go, or when the powers that be will pull the trigger?

If performance's/position hasn't improved by early december it would definately be tempting to make the change before the january transfer window

That's when I think they`ll get rid. So still time to change our fortunes.

I have stated he needs this season and maybe part of next before we make a change.

As the situation is now it would take a brave decision from the board to grant him that time.

I'm at the point of not caring because why should i waste my money on them.

I have a season ticket but i'm seriously considering not attending on Saturday.

Whats gunna change between now and then to convince me to go?

IMO the club are in crisis and if 1 goes then the lot of them should go.

Call it a vote of no confidence

Would that give us enough time to get a new manager in and then give him enough time to assess the squad to see who he wants to keep and can bugger off?

We usually do those things after a Transfer window or the Summer budget being spent.

Each time we sack a promising young manager after just a season or so in charge, the position becomes less attractive to the next set of candidates. So, I'd say no probably not as the search would be protracted.

You could well be right. I suppose it also depend's on the manager's out there who are available/interested at whichever time it happen's. If for instance Mark Cooper was our genuine first choice then maybe someone at the club should be putting feeler's out to assess his interest before that ship sail's again.

Personally as much as i don't believe johnson is the right man, nor can i understand what he actually achieved to be considered in the first place i think he is here for the forseeable and we should just get used to it or just stop going.

History tells us he's under threat now. The debate is whether that's right or not.

I never quite understood why we appointed him in the first place, but he's here and I obviously want us to win every game we play.

But at what point does his position become untenable? Can't say I'm bothered. Board can do whatever for me. Another season ticket not being used on Saturday and one that is unlikely to be renewed next year
